Solar heat control: the concept

Motorised taps with automatic control valves

The automatic control valve regulates the flow direction in your pool's heating cycle. The automatic solar control is available in 3-way and 2-way valves of 50 and 63 mm. The motorised valves are sold with the motor only, or plug and play with the integrated Benisol temperature controller.

What types of motorised valves are available?

Optimal swimming pool heating & level control

In swimming pool installations, automatic valves are primarily used for solar heating. The valve ensures that water flows through the solar collectors when the sun is shining, but not when it is raining or cold. These valves are also used for level control in overflow swimming pools.

There are automatic two-way and three-way valves. The three-way valve is usually chosen for solar heating.

How does an automatic valve work?

Can be used digitally and with Wi-Fi

An automatic valve in a solar heating system is always linked to a temperature measurement.

Our digital valves come with a Benisol measurement and control box. Thanks to the Benisol control box, the valve directs the water to the solar collectors as soon as the temperature on top of the heating system exceeds the water temperature. At a temperature of 32 °C (adjustable), the valve directs the water straight to the pool and thus stops heating. The tap and control box are pre-assembled and ready for use. Our Wi-Fi taps come with a Wi-Fi module with temperature measurement. The tap is controlled via mobile phone as described above. A Wi-Fi tap can also be opened or closed 'manually' via your phone, or you can create your own level control for an overflow pool.

Three installation options

The Benisol digital control box is available separately or already connected to the three-way valve, including all installation components.

There are two options for temperature measurement for controlling the Wi-Fi valve:

  • The TLF module: Temperature x2 - Level - FlowThe Connect Pro module, which allows you to measure pH and Redox (chlorine) in addition to Temperature - Level - Flow. Thanks to the level measurement and the flexibility of WiFi, you can also operate the valve at high water levels, for example. The temperature measurement transmits the open/close instructions to the tap via mobile phone.

Both Hidro and Peraqua taps are available with digital and Wi-Fi control.

What is the difference between the Hidro and Peraqua 3-way taps?

Stepwise Wi-Fi control or classic 100% open or closed

We have two types of valves in our range: Hidro and Peraqua.

The motor of the Hidro (red) valve rotates 90° back and forth. At the lower PVC section, the tension on the valve ball can be adjusted so that the valve always rotates very smoothly. The tap can also be partially opened via the Wi-Fi control. The motor of the Peraqua (transparent blue) tap rotates 360° (in 90° increments). This makes the motor very simple in design, but it is not possible to partially open the valve. Both valves are European-made and of very good quality.
