The theory of the frequency-controlled filter pump

A frequency converter makes it possible to run a filter pump more slowly, thereby saving energy.

If a pump runs at 75% of its normal speed, it will only use 50% of the energy.

On the other hand, it is better for pool filtration to run at a lower speed. You only need the maximum speed when vacuuming and rinsing the filter!

We recommend that, after starting at 100% pump capacity, the speed (and therefore the pump flow) be reduced by 25-30%, which reduces energy consumption by approximately 50% while still allowing sufficient water to circulate to filter the pool properly.

How do I install a frequency converter?

Nothing is as simple as installing a frequency converter. Plug the frequency converter into the socket and plug the filter pump into the female socket on the converter.

Please note: the frequency converter must have a power rating that is at least equal to the power rating of the filter pump.
