A calibrated pH probe should always measure the pH correctly. Unlike test strips, they do not have the disadvantage that the pH depends on the alkalinity, sampling and/or treatment (number of drops, dip time of strips, etc.).Nevertheless, it is sometimes desirable to test the accuracy of the probe.
This certified pH 7.4 buffer has a pH that is definitely = 7.4. If the probe measures a pH between 7.2 and 7.6 in relation to this buffer, the probe is suitable for use in swimming pool applications.
In some cases (no bypass available), it is necessary to seal the electrode hole during calibration. You can purchase a fake probe for this purpose.
