Collection: Peristaltic pumps

A peristaltic pump, also known as a hose pump, is a pump specifically designed for dosing liquids. The peristaltic dosing pump owes its name to the drive that moves the liquid through the pump. We are familiar with peristaltic movement from the way in which food is moved through the body, for example, and the Van Dale dictionary describes peristalsis as follows: "Peristalsis is the squeezing movement of a tubular organ that causes food to move forward in the gastrointestinal tract or urine in the ureter between the renal pelvis and the bladder."
