Automatic 3-way valve 50/63 mm T-bore with Benisol temperature control - plug & play

Automated three-way valves are mainly used for controlling a solar system. When the sun shines (temperature at the solar collector is 4°C higher than the water temperature), the valve switches to the ‘solar heating’ position. When it is cloudy, the valve moves towards the pool.

In this fitting, the Benisol temperature controller is already mounted with all installation accessories (drilling saddle, temperature sleeve, temperature sensor 1m for water - 10m for roof). No electrical installations are required.

The temperature sensors measure the temperature of the pool water and the roof when the sun shines. As soon as the roof temperature is 4 degrees (adjustable) higher than that of the pool water, the valve switches to ‘solar heating’. In rain, shadow, or low temperature, the valve switches back to the “Pool” position to prevent the pool water from cooling down.

When the pool water reaches 32°C (adjustable), water is no longer directed to the solar collectors.

A lever on the side of the valve allows you to set it to manual or automatic operation. Thanks to the ball on top, you can visually see the position of the three-way valve.

The valve has an L-bore, meaning the water enters via the middle connection and then is directed left or right. An identical manual three-way valve is available.

The special feature of this valve is that it rotates 90° back and forth.
It has four advantages:

• During rotation, the valve is never fully closed.
  This prevents pressure shocks in the pipes caused by rotation.
• The valve coupling allows the ball pressure to be adjusted.
  This means the pressure can be set so the valve operates very smoothly without pressure on the interior walls.
• The valve can also be used in other applications where it is partially open (for these cases, you must choose the WiFi variant).
• In the unlikely event of a malfunction, it is possible to replace the valve with a manual one without needing to reseal the pipes.
