Specifications
Automated three-way valves are primarily used to control solar systems. When the sun shines (temperature at the solar collector is 4°C higher than the water temperature), the valve switches to the "solar heating" position. When the water is cloudy, the valve moves towards the pool.
The valve is usually connected to a temperature controller (optionally included).
The valve has an L-shaped bore, meaning that water enters the middle connection and is then directed left or right.
2 Options
- Without temperature controller
Only a motorised, WiFi-controlled three-way valve - With temperature controller
Besides a motorised, WiFi-controlled three-way valve and temperature controller, this set includes a TLF measuring box (Temperature | Level | Flow) with two thermocouples and a sleeve for the temperature sensor.
When can it be used without a temperature controller?
The valve may open, for example, when a pump starts or a roller cover is opened, etc.
Additionally, the customer may have purchased a Gen2 water treatment system, which can be extended with a temperature sensor. Additional temperature control on the valve itself is then no longer necessary.
Advantages of WiFiPOOL Control
The WiFiPOOL connection enables finer and continuous control, allowing manual on/off switching remotely.
It is also possible to set a timer to heat your pool more environmentally friendly.
Advantages of Ball Valves
The special feature of this valve is that it rotates 90° back and forth, powered by a motor.
This offers three advantages:
- The valve is never fully closed during rotation.
This prevents pressure shocks in the pipes caused by the rotation. - The ball pressure of the valve is adjustable at the valve unions.
This ensures the valve rotates very smoothly without pressure on the inner wall. - The valve can also be used in other applications where it remains partly open; for these purposes, you should choose the WiFi version.
- In the unlikely event of a failure, it’s possible to replace the valve with a manual one without needing to reseal the pipes.
L and T-Bores: What is the Difference?
- L-bore: Connects two of the three openings, allowing you to block or open one direction.
- T-bore: Connects all three openings, allowing mixing or distribution of flow.
