Specification

EPDM solar energy is the most economical and environmentally friendly method to heat a pool.

The WiFiPOOL 3-way automatic valve type Peraqua is a very robust solar valve that can automatically control a solar heating system.
When the sun shines (temperature at the solar collector is 4°C higher than the water temperature), the valve switches to the "solar heating" position. When it is cloudy, the valve moves towards the pool.
The valve is usually connected to a temperature controller (optionally included).

The valve has a T-bore, meaning water enters through the middle connection and is then directed left or right. It is possible to set the valve to mixing mode, so both the solar panels and heat pump are used.

2 Options

  • Without temperature controller
    Only a motorised WiFi-controlled three-way valve
  • With temperature controller
Besides a motorised WiFi-controlled three-way valve and temperature control, this kit contains a TLF measuring box (TLF stands for Temperature | Level | Flow) with 2 thermocouples and a sleeve for the temperature sensor.

When can it be used without temperature control?

Sometimes three-way valves or (mostly) two-way valves are used to control overflow basin levels.
For example, the valve opens when a pump starts, a roller shutter is opened, etc.

Furthermore, the customer may have purchased a Gen2 water treatment system, which can be extended with a temperature sensor. Then additional temperature control on the valve itself is no longer required.

Benefits of WiFiPOOL Control

The WiFiPOOL connection enables precise and stepless control, allowing remote manual on/off switching.
It is also possible to set a timer to heat your pool more environmentally friendly.

Advantages of Ball Valves

The special feature of this valve is that it rotates 180° back and forth, motor-driven.
This has three advantages:

  • The valve is never fully closed during rotation.
This prevents pressure shocks in the piping caused by the rotation.
  • The ball pressure of the valve can be adjusted at the valve union connections.
This allows the pressure to be set so that the valve rotates very smoothly and no pressure is exerted internally.
  • The valve can also be used in applications where the valve remains partially open; for this, the WiFi version must be chosen.
  • In the unlikely event of a malfunction, it is possible to replace the valve with a manual one without needing to reseal the pipes.

L and T bores: what's the difference?

  • L-bore: Connects 2 of the 3 ports, allowing you to block or open one direction.
  • T-bore: Connects all 3 ports, allowing flow to be mixed or distributed.
